Goal: Determine causes of wasting syndrome in HIV infected Ugandans, and develop health policy and interventions for nutritional deficiency in this population. Her dissertation was entitled "Asymptomatic HIV-Chronically Infected HAART Naïve Persons with CD Counts 201-350/ml. To treat now or not to treat? A Proposal for a Randomised Placebo Controlled Trial."
Current Projects: Najjuka has been working with the Global Polio Eradication Initiative/ EPI with the CDC, USA /World Health Organization in Nigeria. Her job entails improving delivery of routine immunization, overseeing supplemental national polio/measles immunization campaigns, and integrated disease surveillance.
