Background & Goals:  Dr. Mohammad Khakerah Rashidi's goals included assisting the Afghan government and the World Health Organization in rebuilding Afghanistan's health care services and improving the capacity of regional and provincial Ministry of Health directories.

Post-Degree Projects:  Dr. Mohammad Khakerah Rashidi has worked as the Capacity Building Program Manager with USAID supporting the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) in Afghanistan. Previously, he was the Senior Public Health Management Advisor. He has been involved in many policies, strategies and operational plans of the MOPH in Afghanistan's reconstruction phase. After the completion of his degree, Dr. Rashidi began running a large Institutional Capacity Building project, which involved 13 out of the 34 Afghan provinces and included nine million people from around the country. With MOPH, Dr. Rashidi's report found that 82% of the population had access to Basic Health Services, including the most remote parts of the country. Additionally, he and his colleagues have trained and employed thousands of health professionals in Afghanistan.
